It really varies since every baby is different and some parents are combination feeding (supplementing formula with breast milk). Routinely, most parents need one pack of 6 every week for newborns and young infants if exclusively using liquid formula. Older infants and toddlers consume more per feed but also start to eat solids and may finish one pack of 6 every 5-6 days. We generally advise ordering a little extra whenever introducing a new formula to account for spit ups, mistakes, or opened bottles left out of the fridge on accident.
The milk can be consumed as is or warmed in a pot on the stove depending on your baby's preference. Please do not microwave and check that warmed milk is at a safe temperature by dribbling some milk on your wrist before feeding baby.
Yes, if the opened bottle is closed and refrigerated on time. Leftovers should be used within 24 hours and kept refrigerated at all times. Incomplete feeds or feeds that have been sitting out for more than an hour should be discarded to prevent illness. To be safe, the motto our team members live by is "when it doubt, throw it out."
Unopened bottles can be stored at room temperature in a clean kitchen cabinet that isn't next to a stove. Opened bottles must be refrigerated promptly and used within 24 hours.
Yes, when your infant is ready for first foods, ready milks are a great way to meet their daily formula needs and add a creamy texture to their cereals. Just follow the liquid quantities listed on the rice or porridge package. Leftover cereals mixed with formula should be discarded after mealtime to prevent illness.
